SEARCY, Ark. — Harding University has appointed alumnus Sean Evans to its Board of Trustees. His service on the board began Aug. 17.

Evans, a 2001 Harding graduate, is president and general counsel of Walton Enterprises, a family office serving multiple generations of the Walton family. He previously practiced law in Northwest Arkansas and Dallas, with experience in corporate and tax law.

Evans earned a degree in accounting from Harding, where he also minored in Bible. He later received his law degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Laws in taxation from New York University.

Harding Board Chairman Charles Ganus said Evans has been a longtime supporter of the university and will bring valuable legal and financial experience to the board.

Evans and his wife, Rachel, also a Harding graduate, live in Bentonville with their three children.
